You know you are a mom when...

Today I was thinking just about how much my life has changed in the last 3 years.  I was getting my hair done and I reached into my purse to get my wallet and pulled out a diaper (it was clean, but still...), the next thing I pulled out was one of Reagan's little toy cars...and it prompted me to post this...

I hope that all my mom friends and readers will add to this list... (some of these are mine, some are inspired by others)

YOU KNOW YOU ARE A MOM WHEN...

-You reach into any of your coat pockets and can find suckers, pretzels or goldfish.

-You don't think its strange to put your nose into your kid's butt to smell if they have a poop.

-You would catch spit up or throw up in your hand to protect the carpet.

-Your car may only be a couple weeks old, but it is full of crap and the back seat is trashed.

-You will drive MILES out of your way for a drive thru Starbucks because not getting out of the car is priceless.

-You go to Target twice a week and find it hard to get out of there without spending under $100.

-You look forward to going to work just to have some alone time.

-You can read your child their favorite book without looking.  And get it EXACTLY right.

-You know ALL the words to the theme songs to Dora, Backyardigans, Wiggles and Little Einsteins.  And secretely, you like them.

-It is a triumph if you shower by noon.

-You have a sign on your door that forbids anyone from ringing the doorbell.

-You leave the house with spit up on your shirt and don't have time to care if someone notices.

-You know exactly what your baby wants by the way they cry.

-You think that being a mommy is the hardest and best job in the world.
